Behind the newest circuit in the Balkans stands a team of some of the most respected names in Bulgarian car and motorcycle motorsport.

Krum Donchev holds a Master’s degree from the National Sports Academy, specializing in “Auto-Moto,” and is a long-time competitor in national, European, and world rally championships. He is the winner of the Eastern European Rally Cup, a multiple-time Bulgarian champion, and the recipient of the “South European Champion” Cup for 2005. He is also the founder and organizer of the Super Drift Series championship in Bulgaria.

Pavel Lefterov is one of the most successful Bulgarian drivers in international GT racing. He began his career in karting in 2007 and has won 8 championship titles. In 2019, he won the legendary 24 Hours of Nürburgring with an Audi R8 GT3. In 2025, he became champion in the ADAC Prototype Cup in the LMP3 class and finished third in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in the GT3 Pro/Am class.

Nikolay Petrov is a professional motorcycle racer with over 7 years of track experience. He has achieved third place in the Eastern European Championship in the 600cc and 1000cc classes, along with multiple podium finishes at international level. More than 350 riders have been trained under his guidance – the result of a structured approach to teaching riding technique and safety.

Yasen Popov is a two-time Bulgarian National Rally Champion (1998 and 2005) and a two-time Balkan Rally Champion (1997 and 1998). In 2006, he competed in the World Rally Championship in the Production WRC category, driving the first WRC car in Bulgaria – the Ford Escort WRC.

Together, they form a team with dozens of championship titles, hundreds of race starts, and experience gained on some of the world’s most prestigious circuits. Their role at A1 Motor Park includes management, training, and the development of the complex as a leading motorsport center in the region.
